Cool Kids Toys

Your child's toy will end up in the closet unless you understand one undeniable fact...

Your kids will only play with the COOL toys!

It's true! Now, I know that you would rather that they play with something educational. What parent wouldn't? But the truth is that they want a toy that they can show off to their friends.

Kids Stories

Don't worry. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your kids! The fact is that we were all like that when we were kids. We loved it when we had a cool toy or game that all of the other kids wanted to play with. Your children are no different. It's human nature!

I don't know about you, but I still enjoy it!

There is a Way

There's one way to get them to play with a toy that is educational. You need to trick them. Buy them toys that appear to be cool, but are deviously designed to be educational! This is where we laugh like Dr. Evil (You know, that bald guy from Austin Powers?)

The Plan

Toys like these are very hard to find. So here's the plan. We will seek out those toys that meet our two main criteria:

Above all things, the toys must be cool! This is non-negotiable. A cool toy is played with, other toys are sold at yard sale.
Next, but still important, is that the toy have some educational value. An example of this is the Rubik's cube. Remeber those things? They were all the rage when I was a kid. But they taught logic and problem-solving, too! I had no idea! I just wanted to get those dang colors to match!
They must be fun to play with. Educational toys are great, but kids need to have fun, too!
The Toys
All of our toys will meet the above criteria at some level. Here is a sample of the types of toys we will be offering:

Toy trucks and cars. Your boy will love these. He and his friends will love to spend hours playing with contruction trucks, cement mixers, tractors, and fire trucks. These are great for the imagination.
Musical Toys. Kids like things that make noise. I don't know why, they just do. Why not teach them to make noise that doesn't drive us up the wall?
Dolls and doll houses. Similar to boys, girls like to pretend. Only they aren't as likely to play with trucks. Here's a great way to engage their imaginations.
Puzzles. These are great for patience and problem solving. Puzzles can also be used to teach geography and numbers and letters.
Card Games and Board Games.
